“Let go of who you are not so that you can embrace who you truly are.” -Kim Bond Thompson
I have been on a bit of an inward journey lately. The life has just felt a bit like a hamster wheel lately. What I have realized is that the wheel is in my head.
And it was time to get off.
I recently read an article that stated that one of the top regrets of the dying was never living their own life… instead, living for and choosing for someone else… essentially…
I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
I also read about Michaelagelo who would envision his masterpieces, like The David, inside the block of marble. It was already perfect in his eyes… he just needed to chip away what was standing in the way of perfection.
Imagine if we all believed that about ourselves… .that we are perfect already… and we just need to chip away what didn’t belong so that the inner masterpiece was obvious to all.
That doesn’t sound at all like a hamster wheel. That sounds like a life lived without regret.
Thanks for reading!!!
