Brains and Feet

With the start of June, we have entered the “everyday something different” school days.

Today is mismatched day!

At some crazy hour this morning (mostly because I totally forgot that June was crazy day every day check the calendar or your child will be out of the loop month) I had a discussion with my newly turned 6 year old about the concept of mismatched.  The whole plaid/stripes fashion discussion was not going over well.

Mismatched socks?  Mismatched shoes?  We had a winner!

He thought it was totally silly to be doing this and was proud enough of his solution to ask for a picture. (Mom miss a photo op? No way!)

And with the end of the year looming, and more milestones reached and passed…

I couldn’t help but think of this Dr. Suess quote.

Dr. Suess quote

You have brains in your head.

You have feet in your shoes.

You can steer yourself any direction you choose! – Dr. Suess

Then my brain started churning on end of year teachers’ gifts… hmmmm…

Thanks for stopping by!
