You melt my heart snowman- Day 12

So the adventure in painting continues…This time, I wanted to focus a bit more on the foreground and a bit less on the background.

Typically when I collage, I go nuts on the background.  I LOVE creating backgrounds.  A little piece here, a little paint there.  A stencil, some ink… anything goes.

Using this method for this 30 day challenge however, made it nearly impossible to spend any time on the foreground without losing my whole day and my foreground details were suffering for it.  (or at least I think so 😉 )

So today, the background was one simple piece of patterned paper.  Yup.  Crazy I know! One big piece! I really wanted to focus on the little bits that make a painting come to life you know?

Anyway, I created this little guy after being inspired by the movie Frozen.  In it, the little snowman tells the princess… “Some things are worth melting for.”  Awwwwww.

I think he’s cute!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. ooh… he’s so sweet Kim!!! I don’t know how you manage to put so much work into each piece each day! (even by simplifying the background!) Well done! xxx
