Pink doesn’t exist?!

One never expects to wake up to an email newsletter that shakes them to their very core… But sure enough that’s what happened to me this very morning.

color science, physics

You see, pink is my very favorite color. I remember the warm pink hues that would bathe my room as a child through the curtains. The sunlight would magically turn all things seen into a beautiful shade of rose.

Imagine my surprise when Julie Fei-Fan Balzer from Balzer designs shared this video…

Of course I have to love learning something new and the fact that it is color/art related… But minus green?! Surely that is not my favorite color.

Shall we start a philosophical discussion about my liking something that doesn’t actually exist or what that says about me? Or perhaps we should discuss my fervor for “seeing” things…  Nah. I am going to get some more coffee instead.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Well, that does mess things up a bit. I can see Victoria Secret’s new marketing campaign: Think Minus Green! Hmm…it doesn’t quite work, does it? Keep loving your fictitious color, Kim. You can be like me. I live in my own little world, but it’s okay because they know me there. 🙂

  2. You know the saying ‘Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist’…. and just because the science nerds call it ‘minus green’ doesn’t mean it isn’t pink and it isn’t beautiful!! Enjoy all the pink you want my dear 🙂
